Journaling Bible | Philippians 4:13

I have met a lot of people in the recent months that like to do bible journaling also.  There are some very talented people out there!!  Today's post is a response to a challenge that May May Made It is having.   This week journal prompt was Philippians 4:13.  This verse is one of the first verses that I learned as a new Christian.  Through the years, God has really helped me to be strong.

Here is today's journaling page:

Journaling Bible | Hosea 6:3

It was a perfect day Saturday to journal this verse. We all need the refreshing rain! Lord, send down the rain!

Mixed Media is very popular right now with bible journaling.  I definitely have to get out of my comfort zone to use this method on my pages.  I am so afraid that I will mess up!  But with mixed media, it is very forgiving.  Over the verses I was more careful, but I knew with the journal space, I could cover it up if I had to.  It is very pretty.....I think I like it.  :-)

Supplies Used:
  • Distress Ink
  • Metallic Paint
  • Inkadoo Stamps
  • Letters from my Stash
  • Shimmer Spray
  • Sharpie Markers
Until next time!! Have a blessed week!

Riley Mae and the Ready Rapids

Author:Jull Osborne

If you’re gonna run for your life, you gotta wear the right shoes.
Life is rapidly changing for pre-teen shoe spokesperson Riley Mae. After escaping near disaster at the top of Half Dome in Yosemite, Riley, her family, and her Swiftriver co-workers fly to a secret hideout in Northwest Montana. But when the plane’s malfunction leads to a rough landing, Riley wants nothing more than to return to friends, church, and home. Then she meets Sunday, a ten-year-old boy from Kenya who wrestles fish, battles bears, and tackles leukemia. While her rigorous raft training for the marketing campaign brings a few bumps and bruises, Riley now feels up for the challenge.
Everything looks as bright as the glistening fool’s gold on her “Ready Eddy” river sandals, but everything is not as it seems. Riley soon learns that life is as unpredictable as the raging waters, which, if she is not careful, will sweep her away and into the hands of an enemy who is even closer than she thinks.

I chose this book to ready because I have niece's that are avid readers and I wanted to find books that are interesting, but wholesome.  Another reason this book caught my attention is the location of Yosemite.  I live near Yosemite and it is pretty cool to read about a national landmark in California, and a place I have been to.

I was very pleased with the book.  The storyline kept your attention and you also learned an awesome value that it is more to life than just yourself.  There is a someone greater!  I highly recommend this book for the teens out there.  I am going recommend this book and the series to my niece's.  This would be a great addition to your library.

A Bible Story | Noah and the Mighty Ark

Author: Rhonda Gowler Greene

Noah built the mighty ark. Then he called creatures that “crept or crawled or hopped or flew or stomped or tromped, or s-s-slithered too.” Children will love hearing how Noah comforts all the animals on their journey. And parents will easily get into the rhyme and rhythm of this delightfully told Bible story.

What a perfect book to share the classic bible stories to a toddler.  The easy flow of the rhyming stories catches the attention of the toddler with ease.   The illustrations are done beautifully, with bright colors to catch the attention of the child.  I couldn't wait to turn each page and see the very pretty drawings.  My granddaughter picks this book up when she visits and I enjoy reading it to her.  I highly recommend this book for your library.
