Celebrating 25 Years of Marriage!

My husband has made me laugh. Wiped my tears. Hugged me tight. Watched me succeed.
Seen me fail. Kept me strong. My husband is my forever love and best friend.

Where has the time gone! I remember the day were married like it was yesterday.  We were so young and in love.  There was nothing we couldn't conquer.  We learned quickly that wasn't true, lol.  Through every trial and success it has strengthened our marriage to where it is today.  A marriage of young love is now a marriage of committed, unwavering, dedicated love that becomes deeper everyday.  He is truly my best friend and best father and Poppy that I could ask for.  Babe, I love you more than words can describe.  I am so blessed you are my husband.  I love you Babe!

Bible Journaling Ecclesiates 3:1 | Just Let it Unfold.....to everything there is a Season

When Elder preaches this message, Just Let it Unfold, he uses this verse.  I knew that was where I was going to journal and use my new stamp.  {First of many! :-) }

Just Let it Unfold......knowing that there is a time and season in your life.  I just had to use the Somewhere in Time sticker combo from Bo Bunny.  I love the colors and vintage feel of this set.

I learned a few things this page that I wanted to share.  I have no background in art, so I am still learning when to use Gesso, when not to.  What inks are better with Gesso and what inks are not.  I found while doing this page that when I stamped using Stampin Up ink, the ink slid on the Gesso.  Also the ink took awhile to dry, and not realizing it, I kept laying my hand in it and smearing the ink.
Very frustrating!  After talking to a fellow journaler, I found out that Stazon colored ink would be the best in place of the Stampin Up ink.  I have black so now I am on a mission to find the colored Stazon ASAP.   Lastly, some say that you don't need Gesso on your pages, but I personally like it because it helps the page not to tear and also for the bleed through.

Bible Journaling Psalms 51:19 | KISS {Keeping it Simple}

Bible Journaling is very therapeutic for me.  I do this during my quiet time, which usually consists of bible reading and prayer.  Just recently I was able to introduce bible journaling to a large group of ladies.  Over and over I heard that I am not an artist or I can't draw.  Then I would reply, can you put a stickers on paper? You can?! Then you can make beautiful pages in your journaling bible.

When I decided to open an Etsy Shop with bible journaling supplies, I knew I wanted to cater to the consumers that needed a more simplistic approach to bible journaling.  And one way of keeping it simple is using sticker alphas and embellishments.  The next few weeks I am going to KISS for all of you.  *grin*  Yup! I am going to Keep It Simple Sweetie!

On with the next page.....

After laying down basic coloring with Gelatos, everything else is stickers.

This Bo Bunny Enchanted Garden 12 x 12 combo has beautiful colors.  If was very fun to use this in my bible.

With the Enchanted Garden stickers and alphas, you can do a very nice page.  I really love this color combination....Purple and teal. Pretty!

It is that simple!! I hope with this series the next few weeks you will find the confidence to journal beautiful creations!

ABC Bible Journaling Challenge | Your Favorite Hymn : His Eye is on the Sparrow

For the weekly challenge we were to do a page on our favorite hymn.  I have so many, but I narrowed it down to this one: His Eye is on the Sparrow.

After using Gelatos on page for color, I used paper and letters that I already had in my stash.  Once the page was complete, I made sure I added sparkle with silver spray and diamond stickles.

Just Let it Unfold | Photopolymer Stamp

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.-Eleanor Roosevelt
I am very excited to have created my first set of stamps in a series of inspirational stamps. Just Let It Unfold.....a life lesson taught by a respected man of God that you can share with others. This stamp can be used in your bible journaling or would make a beautiful card. {in my Etsy Store}

Let It Unfold
It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God’s design,
But I cannot unfold the petals
with these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I,
The flower that God opens so sweetly,
Would in my hands would fade and die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud
This flower of God’s design,
Then how can I think I have wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So I’ll trust in Him for His leading
Each moment of everyday
I’ll look to him for guidance
Each step of the Pilgrim way.
For the Pathway that lies before me,
My heavenly father knows:
I’ll trust him to unfold the moments,
Just as he unfolds the rose.

ABC Bible Community Week 4 | James 1:5 I AM the Resurrection and the LIfe

Tomorrow is Easter and this is a perfect verse for this very special day.   I am so thankful that Jesus died on calvary for my sins.  Because I live and believe in him I shall have eternal life.  Do you believe?

 I am so in love with Gelatos right now.  They make me feel like an artist!  And we all know that I am not the artist my Dad is, lol.  I did not get a lick of his artistic ability!  Back to Gelatos.....they are awesome!  I am learning with the thin pages of my bible, that when you use water or anything real wet, it is best to use Gesso.  Gesso is a primer and it makes Gelatos or water colors go on smooth.  And it also helps the color not bleed onto the back of the page.

I was striving for the effects of a sunset with sun rays beaming down onto a hillside.  With the Gelatos, I was able to get the look that I wanted.  I really love how this page turned out.

I hope you have a blessed and Happy Easter!
