The Hunter's Life

{The Hunter's Life}

I haven't been around my computer or internet much.  Even my cell phone scarcely works up the mountain!  It makes you have to stop and think about what is important in life.  The beauty of God's handiwork is all around me. It reminds me  how much more time I could be spending with God and reading his word.  Hunting season will not be forever, so I will enjoy the peace and quiet while I can!

Fall Mantle & Vignette 2013

I love decorating for the seasons.  Fall is one of my favorite seasons because I love the colors.  There is so much you can do with the shades of fall.

I am still loving my faux mantle.  It is definitely the main focal point in my living room.  This year I added a few fall favorites to what I had previously on my mantle.

The plate I found last year at Walmart is just perfect.  Family is very important to The Kendrick Clan.

Of course I had to have my owls out!

Fall Vignette

I do a seasonal table in my entry way.  I love having this table to great all of our visitors.

A lot of little goodies on this table that I have found at various different places.  My favorite decoration places are Hobby Lobby, Kirkland's, Home Goods, and Ross.

Isn't this cute?  I found this basket in the dollar section at Target last year.   His job is to hold all of the wallets and keys that typically get thrown on the table.  (Which is a HUGE bother to me!)  Now all of their stuff has a cute,  seasonal home.

Wouldn't be fall without a scarecrow!

Fall decorating is all done.....now for the cool weather please!!

Using a Daily Planner to get Organized

September is my month to get back on track and get organized!

Now that I work from home, I find that my time can be not quite so productive.  I easily get distracted and before I know it, the day is gone!

My daily planner is one way that helps me stay organized and on schedule.   I still use my iPhone for reminders, but I am a visual person and I like to see it in front of me.

I like to have fun with my planner!  I find seasonal stickers and brighten it up! And also use birthday stickers for birthdays and hearts for anniversaries.  The sky is limit to your creativity!

A picture that I don't have is my contact section.  There I keep important numbers, usernames, and passwords.  Now I don't make it obvious that I have a username and password listed in case someone gets a hold of my planner, but I know what it is.

Another item I have in my planner is a daily/weekly cleaning schedule.  Because I am typically home I like to clean a little everyday.  I found a printable that I love to use at  Made by Marquette ,  and I put it in the front of my planner.   Now I am not one to stress if I don't get to it all.  Sometimes I will double up the next day or just have it all done by the weekend.

This is one way that I mange my time.  What are some ways that you keep your life organized?

A few more organizing posts in the works. Look for them soon!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Fall Deco Mesh & Burlap Wreath

Fall is in the air......

You might remember my Fall Deco Mesh Wreath tutorial from last year.   I am happy to say that it has been my number one post on my blog the last year or so.  It was an easy deco mesh wreath, that anyone could make!

Or you can check out the Deco Mesh Christmas Wreath Tutorial Here!

My new 2014 Deco Mesh Wreath for fall is here!

This year I decided to change the wreath up a bit.  I went back and removed all of the ribbon and added burlap row next to the deco mesh.  I love the rustic look of burlap, especially for an outdoor wreath.  I also added sunflowers this time.  Then lastly I added the ribbon back on and I am very happy with how it turned out!

Fall is my favorite season and I am so excited to be able to get my fall decorations out!
So look for more fall posts to come!!

Have a blessed day!
