We just had a birthday and his favorite flavor is Oreo. While planning his birthday dinner, I remembered an ice cream cake that my sister use to make for her kids. It is was such a treat and cheaper than Baskin Robins. (Do they even have those anymore?)
What you need:
- 1- 1/2 Gallon of vanilla ice cream
- 1- Package of Oreos
- 1- Container of Cool Whip
- 13 x 9 pan
-As you prepare to make the cake, you will leave the vanilla ice cream out to soften. -Take your pan and line it with Oreos. (I put whole, my mom puts crumbs)
-Take the leftover Oreos and crush them with a rolling pin.
-Now take your softened ice cream and stir the Oreos and Cool Whip. Once combined, spread over cookies in pan.
-Cover pan and put in freezer to reset.
It is that easy! You will have a yummy ice cake that will make the whole family happy!

There was a Baskin Robbins in FL. and I used to always get my brothers-in-law (who were younger than me) cakes from there. It was their absolute favorite. It would be fun to make this one for them now that they're grown. I bet they'd like it too. :)
