FUN Iphone Weather App!!

Every since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with the weather.  As you can see, on my phone I have 11 weather apps.  Each app has something that I like.  But today, I just tried out Yahoo's new weather app.  It is THE best one yet!

It has a nice 5 days forecast....

Very nice and clear radar. When it is storming, it always nice to be able to see where the storm is.

It even gives you precipitation totals, Wind & Pressure, and Moon rotation.

I love how they integrated local pictures for your city and area.  We live near  Yosemite and the mountains and this beautiful shot is from our area.

Here is my hometown of Lompoc......

Here is San Francisco......

And New York......

And Oceanside Pier.....near San Diego

I love my new weather app.  If you try it, let me know what you think!!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Celebrating 80 Years!

We just celebrated my Dad's 80th Birthday!!
My Dad is bedridden and it was such a treat to have him strong enough to come out and allow us to celebrate his birthday with him.  My Dad's body is slowing down, but his mind is not! He was witty as usual with all of his jokes and stories.  I am thankful for another year with my Dad.  I love him very much.

My Dad and his girls!
My sister and I..... It was quite a treat to get us all together!

My sister, Mom, Dad and I
Very precious people in my life.  I love them very much!I cherish the days that I have with my parents.  I came late in life and realize that they will not be here forever. (And they remind of that too. :D )

Happy 80th Birthday Dad! I love you very much!

Cruisin' Along to Ensenada!

To celebrate our 23rd Wedding Anniversary we went on a cruise.  It was so nice to get away for a few days!

Our first top was Catalina Island.  My husband and I had never  been, so it was exciting to go someplace new.  Catalina is off the Southern California coast.  On the Catalina Express you can get there in less than an hour.  It is a quaint little island with many things to do.  We toured the island on a golf cart, but you can play golf, snorkel, shop, and much more.  It was a nice and relaxing day!

They shuttled us to the island, and seeing the shuttle boats next to our ship put in perspective how big the boat really is.

These cute little guys were playing "King of the Buoy!"

Beautiful, relaxing day!

Next morning we docked in Ensenada!

First place we went to was the La Bufudora, which is a marine geyser or blow hole.
It was really cool! You cannot predict when it is going to blow, but I did get a few pictures.
Then we shopped at the market place and ate at a very yummy taco shop.  They make their tortillas fresh and it was well worth the loooong line we waited in.  We even missed our bus! (That's another story for another time, lol)  We returned to the downtown area and did some shopping.  We left realizing that we can get much better deals in the downtown LA area.  It was a little disappointing!  Not wanting to be in the city after dark, we headed back to the ship for dinner.
Another wonderful day!

Going home we spent a day at see.  We did many fun things, like playing miniature golf on top of the ship. It was quite windy, so it made playing very interesting.

We were so glad that my husband's aunt and uncle were able to travel with us.  We always have a great time with them!!   Another great trip in the books....I look forward to our next adventure! {Thanks Babe! You always make our anniversary so special!}

Magical Washi Tape

I received my order of washi tape from Pick your Plum. ( I just love all of the great deals they have!)    I knew exactly what my first project was going to be; personalized iphone charger! My boys have a tendency to steal  borrow mine when they just happen to misplace theirs.  Ha! Not anymore....it is amazing when you buy something pink or put girl colors on it, they are not so interested in borrowing it anymore.

Next I made a pretty spring coaster.....

For my purse, I needed a case for safety pins and other small items.  I took an old Altoids tin and spray painted it white.  Then I put washi tape strips on the lid.  Cute and whimsical!

There are so many others things you can do with washi tape!  It is so bright and pretty and I am sure I will find more things to tape!

On a side note......

I don't have little ones running around my house anymore.  Just a four legged one!  Rye was wanting attention this day.....lots obviously!  (He was being a pest actually!)  A pest you say? Look how adorable this little guy is......

Until he tried to escape with the goods.....

I couldn't even take pictures!  He didn't make off with this.......but he did manage to get he coaster. Rye the Rascally Dog!

No, I don't have little ones running around.....just four legged ones!  Never a dull moment here!!
