Refurbishing a Thrifted Fall Find w/ Mod Podge

I found this fall themed decoration at a thrift store last year for $1.50.  I set it out last year just like this, but this year, it was just boring to me.

I have been looking at some different ways to use Mod Podge and decided to try it on this project.  I love this paisley print scrapbook paper that I found.  And of course I had to have a monogram!

Mod Podge is great! It works as a glue and a sealer.  When using Mod Podge you have a really nice finished look.  I just love it!
Be liberal with it.....it will dry clear.
After the Mod Podge dried, I added a little glitter, my monogram, and polka dot ribbon.....
I am really into things that sparkle.

Now I have a refurbished, fall decoration that I just love!!

  4. That's really cute. I love what you did with them. I know what you mean. I am already bored with the centerpiece of my table and I haven't even shared it yet on my blog. Love what you did. Take care, Linda
