Fall Inspired Skirt & Felt Purse

When thinking about what my next sewing project would be, I remembered a skirt I saw last year.  It had felt flowers on a lime green print.  I knew it would it perfect little skirt for Miss Priss.

I love the colors of fall.....

Here is how it turned out....
Millie loves to carry purses around. I just had to make a matching purse!

It was pretty easy to make.  I used a basic, elastic waist skirt and added a ruffle.

{Make a casing for your elastic}

{I ruffled the brown material by hand}

Next you cut out felt flowers for the skirt.....

{I found the cut out online}

 Then I hand stitched the flowers on and also secure edges with fabric glue.

{I added pom poms to the flowers to make them stand out more}

Finished skirt......

I was going to include steps for the purse and got so into my work I didn't take pictures. I will do one soon....it is very easy!

{I used bigger flowers for the purse}

 Lastly, I added velcro so that the purse will close.....

Look for the purse tutorial soon....
