Crock Pot Apple Butter Tutorial

I used an very easy recipe I found on Pinterst by Changing my Destiny.
I used a little more water than the recipe called for, and I did add slightly more brown sugar and spices. By slightly more, I mean rounded teaspoons instead of being specific with my measurements.

Crock Pot Apple Butter

Makes a little more than 1 pint
1 dozen apples, peeled, cored, cubed
1/2 Cup Water
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon All Spice

Step 1: Peel, core, and chop a dozen apples.

Step 2: Toss the apples in sugar and spices.

Step 3:  Now that everything is in the crockpot, put it on low and forget about it.  I started it the night before and let it cook all night.

When I checked it in the morning, this what it looked like:

I stirred it really good and let it cook for a few more hours.

Step 4: Next, to make it  smooth and not so chunky, I took my hand blender out.
This is all a matter of preference.  I didn't want it too smooth like applesauce, but not too chunky either.  It will be how you like it.

Step 5: Now it is time put it in a container.  I chose a canning jar, with an air tight lid.

The canning funnels are very helpful! It made it very easy to fill the jar.

You are all done! Yummy Apple Butter, and it was soooo easy!

This really makes a perfect gift.....I know my mom loves Apple Butter!
